Should man have been convicted as a offender after having with 13 year old?

thats awful i dont think the man intended to have woth a minor but he still did and the fact that he was searching for umm intamacy on myspace is a bit creepy i dont think he should have been convited harshly but still convicted otherwise real predators are going to use thre same excuse she told me she was older , its harsh but yes he should the girl def. needs to seek help
