How do I add volunteer work to college applications?

I haven't started applications yet, but I have a kind of confusing question. I'm going to be volunteering with the Habitat for Humanity & for a hospice center soon, but I'm also doing a lot of other things, such as making brochures, working at food banks, etc. What I'm wondering is, for college applications, will I be able to add these smaller things to them? Will it count at all?
